Fuel retailers sell automotive fuel and/or lubricating oils, typically at a service station. Often fuel retailers also retail convenience store goods and provide services such as car washing (Thomson, J. IBISworld. May 2020).
Industry operators wholesale agricultural machinery, agricultural implements, earth moving machinery and other construction machinery and equipment. They also wholesale parts for this equipment. (Youl, T. IBISworld. Nov 2019).
Industry operators wholesale new and used commercial vehicles, including buses, vans and heavy-duty trucks to primarily transport goods and does not include vehicles for passenger transport (i.e. taxi’s or Uber) (Youren, Y. IBISworld. Nov 2019).
The automotive industry includes motor vehicle manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, parts suppliers, and mechanics that design, research, develop, manufacture, sell and maintain motor vehicles and parts. Motor vehicles are passenger moving cars, trucks, buses, motorcycles, and other recreational motorised vehicles sold to households, businesses, and governments (Yeoh, Y.H. IBISworld. Jun, 2020).
Motorcycle dealers primarily retail new and used motorcycles but also sell all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and motor scooters. Firms that sell motorcycle parts and accessories and provide vehicle servicing are excluded from the industry (Yeo, Y,H. IBISworld, Jun 2019).
